Meet the Small Animal Veterinary Team
Robert has been with us for 14 years and is based at our Droitwich surgery, where he assists with the running of the small animal department. Robert is a keen cyclist and rugby supporter, with two teenage children to keep him busy as well.
Carol qualified in 1988 and works at our Claines surgery, she has been with the practice for many years. She concentrates on small animal care, and has a particular interest in feline medicine and surgical work.
Carol lives out in the country and has a young son and many animals. Her hobbies are growing organic vegetables and natural history.
Following qualification from Liverpool Alison worked briefly in Manchester before joining the Droitwich surgery in 1989. She worked there until she had a family. Since then she works part time at both the Droitwich and Claines surgery’s as part of the small animal team. With two children, several cats and a dog she keeps herself busy.
Having been brought up on a small holding in Wales a career with farm animals seemed the natural choice when Sue graduated from London Vet College. However she soon realised her main interests lay in small animal work, specifically diagnostics and radiography, Sue has worked in this field mainly in Worcester since 1984. She is kept busy with her three daughters and in her spare time fell running.
Sarah was born in England but grew up in Perth, Australia, after graduating from University she came back to England and joined us here in 2005 and is now settled in Worcester. She works in the small animal department usually at our Droitwich branch. She enjoys all aspects of her small animal work and loves the people she works with. Outside of work she is kept extremely busy looking after her three young children.
Miriam grew up in South Africa, but graduated from Gent University in Belgium in 1998. She has worked in the UK since 1999 and settled in Worcestershire in 2010, where she has developed an interest in Veterinary Dentistry. In 2015 Miriam founded a small animal charity which aims to help pets and wild animals in need.
In her spare time she enjoys gardening, horse-riding, golfing, skiing, and hiking, especially in the South African bushveld.
Karen Wade has worked for MacArthur Barstow & Gibbs, at the Droitwich branch at weekends since 2012 and also provides cover during the week when other vets are on holiday. Karen has worked in small animal practices in the Worcester area for almost 30 years. In her spare time she enjoys walking with her Labrador on the hills or along the river.
