Woodlands Veterinary Clinic was established in August 1992 by Mike Daly BVSc, MRCVS to offer a caring , friendly veterinary service in the surroundings of a modern, well equipped practice. The Practice is a RCVS Accredited Practice and a veterinary nursing Training Practice. The staff comprises:

• 6 veterinary surgeons
• 2 practice managers
• 4 veterinary nurses
• 1 equine nurse
• 4 customer care managers

All staff regularly attend continuing professional education courses enabling us to offer the latest in current therapies.

We are a progressive practice, constantly adding to our well-established medical and surgical departments to ensure optimum patient care and treatment.

Extension to the practice in 1999 has enabled us to develop the medical and surgical facilities significantly.

The latest design of stainless steel animal accommodation enables us to cater for every size of pet.

Achievements include:

• 1996 raised enough funds to sponsor GDBA dog 'Woody'
• 1998 raised enough funds to sponsor GDBA dog 'Willow'
• 2000 became the first PetPlan 'PRACTICE OF THE YEAR'
• 2002 won the Novartis 'PRACTICE MADE PERFECT' waiting room makeover competition to the value of £15,000!
• 2003 raised £4,000 doing the GDBA Cumbria Challenge
• 2004 raised £1,200 doing a Shark Dive for Vetaid
• 2005 raised £3,000 doing the GDBA Brecon Challenge
• 2006 became a RCVS Accredited Practice
• 2007 raised £1,000 for Rapid UK search & rescue dogs
• 2008 raised £1296 for Pet Blood Bank
• 2009 raised £1800 for Brizen Young Peoples Centre
