Fundraising 2008

Fundraising 2008:

Our chosen charities for 2008 are the Pet Blood Bank UK (PBBUK) and the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled.  PBBUK is a new charity, formed just 18 months ago, has created a blood bank for dogs so veterinary surgeons can access the correct type blood very quickly when required in an emergency.  Please find them on our 'Links' page for more information and details of how you can become involved.

Cheltenham Practice Does it Again!

Once again Woodlands made it to the final of the national 'Practice of the Year' awards and was awarded joint 2nd place.  A fantastic result!  A HUGE thank you to all of our clients that nominated us!

This year saw a record number of nominations for the Pet Plan 'Practice of the Year' - over 1,500!  The prestigious award was presented at a glittering "Oscars" type ceremony in Birmingham.

Woodlands won the award in 2000, the first year the awards were held, then in the top 3 in 2002, 2004 and now 2008! Greg Simpson was also in the final for "Vet of the Year" in 2004.  This indicates that we are without a doubt, one of the most successful practices in the UK!

There are four categories for which clients can nominate their practice: Vet, Nurse, Receptionist and Practice.

Pip Millard, practice manager, nominated the practice to say thank you to the partners:

"They are fantastic employers and reaching the final is just brilliant for all of the staff. We are over the moon to have got this far and it doesn't matter if we don't actually win! Our clients are thrilled on our behalf and are delighted to be part of such a successful practice."
