Fundraising 2010:
Fundraising Ball - Friday 30th July 2010
The fundraising ball held on Friday 30th July at the Queens Hotel, Cheltenham was absolutely fantastic. The tickets were sold out and a hundred guests had a merry time raising money for our two charities this year which are, The Brooke. the Uk´s leading overseas working equine welfare charity, dedicated to alleviating the suffering of millions of horses, donkeys, and mules in the poorest parts of the world and Oak & Furrow Wildlife Rescue Centre based at Somerford Keynes Cirencester established in 1994 to treat sick, injured and orphaned wildlife and releasing them back into the wild. It became a registered charity in August 2006 (1115926). We will continue fundraising throughout the year and will announce the total collected which will be divided between the two charities at the end of the year.
Anyone wishing to send donations please make cheque payable to Woodlands Fundraising Events.
Thank you everyone who supported the fundraising ball. Enjoy the photos!
Fundraising 2009:
OPEN DAY SUNDAY 4th October 2009.

Thanks again for another fab Open Day. The weather was kind, even warm. Nearly 200 people came along during the afternoon to see and learn about life as a vet & nurse at Woodlands. By the way if you see a teddy with a bandage it most likely attended our "Teddy Bear Clinic". The vets were very sporting and took a lot of wet sponges in "Wet the Vet" and the face painting and guess the weight of the pony, creepy crawleys and bouncy castle and much more all helped to make the afternoon such a success. A special thanks to "Black Watch", Cheltenham fire Brigade who came along to support as well. Mike Daly & Greg Simpson presented a cheque for £1400 to Brizen Young Peoples Centre which was received by Tony Rastell & Cindy Lewis on behalf of the charity.
SUMMER BALL & EQUINE SEMINAR
The Summer Ball and Equine Seminar were a great success raising money towards our chosen charity this year, The Brizen Young Peoples Centre. Thanks to all who helped organise these events, Pip and Lindsey and everyone who came along to support. They were a great success. We have some lovely pictures in the August issue of Cotswold Life.
Fundraising 2008:
Our chosen charities for 2008 are the Pet Blood Bank UK (PBBUK) and the Cotswold Riding for the Disabled. PBBUK is a new charity, formed just 18 months ago, has created a blood bank for dogs so veterinary surgeons can access the correct type blood very quickly when required in an emergency. Please find them on our 'Links' page for more information and details of how you can become involved.
