A new small animal diagnostic suite incorporates new Digital Xray facilities as well as an ultrasound scanner. Our ultrasound scanner assists with pregnancy diagnosis and diagnosis of diseases associated with internal organs (e.g. heart diseases, bladder stones). It also has a particular application for equine lameness work.

• We have also purchased a new state of the art high frequency portable Xray unit for equine work. This gives us more flexibility in our diagnostic approach to lower limb lameness (such as laminitis and navicular disease) as well as assessing foot balance.

Electrocardiography (ECG) - We have both portable ECG for rapid assessment of heart function as well as a larger machine allowing more comprehensive investigation. Endoscopy - Both flexible and rigid endoscopes are available, enabling us to examine the smallest animals, through to coughing horses.

Greg Simpson is fully qualified in Acupuncture and is able to offer this alternative approach to a number of patients very successfully.
