Practice Tour

Car Park - We have a spacious client car park to the front of the building, providing safe off-road parking whilst visiting the Surgery.

Reception - We have a large open-plan Waiting Room with displays of pet accessories, diet food and informative notices and leaflets.  The Reception is open all day and there is always a fully trained friendly member of staff available to speak to regarding appointment times, availability of Veterinary Surgeons, to book operations and provide general advice.

Consultation Rooms - We have three bright comfortable rooms where you and your pet can meet with one of our Veterinary Surgeons for your consultation.  Appointments for consultations with one of the Veterinary Nurses are also available for nutritional advice, information on puppies and kittens, Senior Pet Clinics, Weight Clinics, Dental Clinics, suture removals, bandage redressing and clipping claws.  We also run Puppy Parties with a pet dog trainer.

Preparation Room - This is where pets are prepared for minor or major procedures and operations.

Operating Theatre - This is the area used for all sterile operating procedures.  A Veterinary Surgeon and a Veterinary Nurse supervise surgical procedures and anaesthetics taking place in the Theatre.

Imaging Room - The Imaging Room houses up-to-date X-ray, Ultrasound and ECG equipment for diagnostic purposes.

Dental Room - This is where your pet will have any dental work carried out.  A Veterinary Surgeon and a Veterinary Nurse supervise the procedure and anaesthetics whilst your pet undergoes treatment.

Laboratory - Blood, urine and other samples are tested on our specialist laboratory equipment, including blood analysis equipment and a microscope.  Many tests can be carried out in-house, allowing prompt access to results.

Dispensary - This is where we securely house a rull range of durgs and medications.  Many of the drugs we use are prescription only medicines, and can therefore only be prescribed to your pet following a clinical examination by a Veterinary Surgeon.  Repeat prescriptions can only be given with a Veterinary Surgeon's consent.  Your pet must be under the care of the Veterinary Surgeon so that he or she has sufficient knowledge of your pet's circumstances in order for us to provide the best service possible.  We would ask for requests for repeat prescription to be ordered at least 24 hours prior to collection.

Wards & Kennels - There are separate dog, cat and isolation wards where warm, comfortable kennels are provided for our pet patients.

Farm Room - We have a fully equipped farm room with vehicular access right to the door.  The farm room contains two pens where any 'in-surgery' farm work can be carried out, such as sheep ceasarians.

Disabled access - Rails, ramps and wide doors provide easy access for wheelchair users.  We have a disabled toilet just off Reception.
