Mr K.J.MacLeod, BVMS MRCVS
Ken MacLeod is the Principal Veterinary Surgeon at Mainstone Veterinary Clinic.
He qualified from Glasgow University Veterinary School in 1982 and spent the next seven years in a variety of practices, both in this country and abroad.
He bought the Mainstone Veterinary Clinic from its previous owner at the end of 1989, and ran it as a single handed practice until 1995.
As well as having an interest in small animal practice in general, Ken also enjoys treating 'exotic' pets.
Ken and his wife live with their cat and two dogs in the New Forest, where they are (still) in the process of renovating a cottage.
Hazel Curtis BVetMed, MRCVS
After qualifying from the RVC in London, Hazel spent several years in mixed practice in Dorset before joining us in 2009.
She enjoys all aspects of her work at the practice, especially soft tissue surgery and diagnostics.
Hazel lives in Hamble with her husband, daughter Erin and cat Busa.
Outside of her veterinary work, she enjoys hiking, running and camping with her family.
Mrs. A.Hammond BVSc, MRCVS
Alison qualified from Bristol University Veterinary School in 1986, and joined Mainstone at the end of 2000, after spending several years in small animal practice in Southampton, where she lives with her husband & family.
She often visits schools to give talks to young children about 'Life as a Vet', as part of our client education programme.
She is the 'Cat Advocate' for the practice as well as dealing with a lot of our dental caseload.
Her interests outside veterinary work include gardening, cycling & walking.
Mrs Adrienne Davison BVetMed, MRCVS
Ady joined the practice in May 2016, having spent several years in small animal practice in South Hampshire. Like Hazel, she is a graduate of the Royal Veterinary College in London and in adition to her regular veterinary expertise, she has an interest in Western Veterinary Acupuncture.
She lives in New Milton with her husband and two cats, Albert & Isaac and enjoys teaching gymnastics to children in her spare time.
Miss Emma Eldridge MA, VetMB, MRCVS
Our latest recruit to the team is Emma, who joined us in January 2017, having previously worked in mixed practice in the North of England. She moved to Southampton with her boyfriend and dog Jess, a Collie cross.
When not working, Emma plays football for a local team and enjoys walking and cycling in the surrounding countryside.
