QUALIFIED VETERINARY NURSE, SOUTHAMPTON

We are looking for an experienced, qualified VN to join our small animal practice in surgery in Hamble.  The position is permanent with no over night or weekend duties or cover.  Ideally, we would like a nurse who is self-motivated and enthusiastic and has a good sense of humour. We would like to become a VNTC so A1 assessor qualifications would be an advantage, or willing to train for it.  Exceptional communication and client skills required. We are proactive with Hills Pet Nutrition so advisor skills would be an advantage, but not essential as training will be funded.

The hours are approximately 36 per week and there may be some room for flexibility for the right applicant.  They are as follows:

Monday          8.30am – 12.30 pm (lunchtime break) plus 1.30pm – 4.30 pm

Tuesday          8.30am – 12.30 pm (lunchtime break) plus 1.30pm – 4.30 pm

Wednesday     8.30am – 12.30 pm (lunchtime break) plus 1.30pm – 4.30 pm

Thursday        9.00am – 2.00pm plus 4.00pm – 7.00pm

Friday             8.30am – 12.30 pm (lunchtime break) plus 1.30pm – 4.30 pm

There may be the opportunity to do some overtime during the hours of 8.30 – 7.00pm.

The guide for Salary is £13,500 to £17,000 p/a depending on experience.
