Cardiology

Diseases affecting the heart of both cats and dogs pose numerous diagnostic and treatment challenges. Richard Gowshall has pursued an interest in this field for several years incorporating training courses as far field as Luxembourg and Florida. To complement this training the Hospital has acquired a variety of highly sophisticated diagnostic tools.

A Colour Flow Doppler Ultrasound machine used for imaging the heart as it beats measuring blood flows and diagnosing defects in heart valves and muscle.

A Six Lead ECG Machine and Monitor for detecting abnormalities in heart rhythm and electrical conduction.

Seven Day Holter ECG Monitor which is worn by the patient allowing constant recording of its heart beat whilst in its home setting.
