DEEPDALE POLICY ON THE PURCHASE AND SALE OF KITTENS

Here at Deepdale we fully understand that the sale of kittens in pet shops can be controversial.

We feel that the most ethical and practical approach is therefore to insist on the following policy:

1. All kittens accepted for sale come from private homes, and are accepted only on condition that the mother is immediately neutered. We can therefore help ensure that the cycle is broken.

2. All kittens spend several days with us, to allow examination by a vet, proper socialisation, and treatment with veterinary flea and worm products.

3. All kittens are fully vaccinated against cat 'flu, parvovirus and feline leukaemia virus as standard. We only use Merial's PUREVAX vaccine, probably the most advanced cat vaccine in the world.
